Druid Hills

The gracious neighborhood of Druid Hills is home to two of Atlanta’s most prominent institutions: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Emory University.  Located near downtown Atlanta, Druid Hills is known for its tree-lined streets and historically significant architectural styles.

While many parts of metro Atlanta have lost their original character, Druid Hills has been designated as a “historic neighborhood”, which has allowed it to maintain the architectural integrity of the original homes and neighborhood design.  Estate homes and sidewalks abound, and there are plenty of green spaces, including Rutledge Park, Deepdene Park and Burbank Park.
Druid Hills residents enjoy walking to the shops and restaurants in both Emory Village and downtown Decatur.  Other nearby amentities include:
  • Druid Hills Golf Club:  featuring an 18-hole golf course, fitness center, pool and tennis courts
  • Fernbank Museum of Natural History: serving the community with exhibits including a bronze-cast dinosaurs in the main entrance hall and an Imax theater
  • Fernbank Science Center: backing up to the 40+ acre undisturbed Fernbank forest, and featuring many permanent exhibits
